The eight-step ordering process

Each custom magnet is quoted on its own shape, size, and grade, and tracked under a unique part number from quote through shipping.

1

Send your inquiry

Start by emailing us your requirement or filling out the custom magnet quote request form. If the shape is hard to describe in words, attach a drawing or a rough sketch — it speeds up the quote and removes guesswork.

2

We review your request

Mainrich reviews your request within 24 hours and emails you if anything needs clarifying. If a stock magnet matches or comes close to your spec, we will suggest it — stock parts are usually faster and cheaper than tooling a new custom shape.

3

You receive a custom quote

We send a per-part quote covering each requested shape, size, and NdFeB grade. Every custom magnet is assigned a unique part/quote number so it stays traceable. There is no minimum order quantity on custom orders.

Standard grades ship in 7–14 days · custom orders 6–9 weeks
4

You review the quote

Check the quote against your specifications — dimensions, tolerance, grade, coating, and direction of magnetization — before you approve it. Reply with any changes and we re-quote.

5

You place the order

Once the quote is right, confirm to proceed and we open the order against the quoted part numbers.

6

Payment and order processing

We invoice for the magnets plus shipping. Payment is confirmed before production is scheduled, which locks your slot in the production queue.

7

Manufacturing

Production of your custom magnets begins. Because each part is tooled and pressed to your spec, orders are final once manufacturing starts and cannot be changed or cancelled at this stage.

8

Shipping

Finished magnets ship to your delivery address, FOB Hong Kong / Shenzhen / Zhuhai, worldwide. You receive tracking once the shipment leaves.

Common questions about ordering

Quick answers to what buyers ask before sending a drawing. For the full list, see our FAQ.

Is there a minimum order quantity for custom magnets?
No. There is no MOQ on custom orders. Whether you need a small prototype batch or full production volume, we quote per part number on shape, size, and grade.
How long does a custom magnet order take?
Standard grades ship in 7–14 days. Custom orders typically ship 6–9 weeks after the order is confirmed, since each part is tooled and pressed to your spec. We give a firm lead time on the quote.
What do you need from me to prepare a quote?
The shape, dimensions, tolerance, NdFeB grade (or the working temperature so we can suggest one), coating, direction of magnetization, and quantity. A drawing or sketch covers most of this in one file.
Can I change or cancel after production starts?
No. Custom magnets are tooled and pressed to your specification, so once manufacturing begins the order is final and cannot be modified or cancelled. Review the quote carefully before approving.
How and where do you ship?
We ship worldwide, FOB Hong Kong / Shenzhen / Zhuhai, with tracking provided once your shipment leaves. Shipping is invoiced together with the magnets.
